Linkin Park - " Heavy" Review

February 16, 2017

Linkin Park is back and in what style!

The guys from the American band known as a nu-metal band, have completely changed their path, but for good or only for a while? This path is definitely good for them! A whole bunch of people is yelling that Linkin Park is "dead".

However,I urge you to listen their newest song "Heavy", which is going to show you that Linkin Park is SO alive and in their best form.

Accustomed to The Hunting Party, we could have expected a return to the core, especially after the title of the song "Heavy". But the track is not heavy. The lightness and calm melody of the song introduces us to the world of 'keeping what pulls us down", it's not hackneyed at all. Is human life corny? Hundreds of lives and the same problems. Each of us has enough of things that pull us down and we can't get rid of them.

The song begins with a calm voice of lead singer Chester Bennington, who for so many years continues to be in a really great "vocal form". His voice breaks through the soft voice of Kiiara, who is featuring the latest Linkin Park's single.

The whole song is a definite beat with a distinctive piano by Mike Shinoda and typical for Linkin Park strong lyrical message. The song is not and will not be a continuation of the adhered patch of nu-metal. Linkin Park is growing, as emphasized in his Tweet Mike Shinoda, and has no intention of slowing down. "If you decide to come along for the ride, though, the good news is that there’s going to be a lot of fun surprises.”, we can read in this Tweet.

There is nothing but wait for March 19th, when the new album called "One more light" comes out.
